Working together with producers and directors of film projects at early stages of development, acting as an attentive partner and a consultancy agency dealing with the entire film development, production and international marketing issues.

Types of missions also include:

• consultancy for production and development of projects, consultancy for script,
• consultancy for attendance to European and international co-productions markets,
• consultancy for the fund raising, advising on financing possibilities,
• meeting potential European partners and coordinating international co-productions,
• counseling on creative and financial development, and international co-productions,
• preparing a presentation of the film project and meeting buyers, sales agents and film festivals considered suitable.
• once the film is finished, devising a custom-made festival and marketing strategy, and followup.

ABOUT GÜLİN ÜSTÜN

Graduated from American High School Izmir and from Bogazici University Department of English Language & Literature.

She started working as an assistant agency producer in Young & Rubicam, one of the leading advertising agencies in Turkey, in two years became the head of the department of production in the same agency. Until 2000 worked in selected agencies of the industry and established the production departments.

In 2000, she joined Atlantik Film where she worked as producer for TV commercials and general coordinator. She was also in charge of the international projects including major internationals clients and production servicing.

Besides commercials she also subsequently worked on project development, acquisition and sales distribution of the feature films Run For Money - Kaç Para Kaç (2000), Mommy, I'm Scared – Korkuyorum Anne (2004), Times and Winds - Beş Vakit (2006), My Only Sunshine - Hayat Var (2009) by Reha Erdem. She has completed the sales of Times and Winds - Beş Vakit  to UK (Artificial Eye), US (Kino Films), France (Pretty Fish) and Benelux (ABC Films). Before she left Atlantik Film in February 2008 she was the associate producer of Hayat Var / My Only Sunshine by Reha Erdem a Turkey, Greece and Bulgaria co-production.

She started her own company GU-FILM and continued giving production services to feature films. In 2009 she co-produced Turquaze, the first Belgium – Turkish co-production by Kadir Balcı. The film made the international premiere in Montreal and was  also screened at the 30th Istanbul Film Festival in Turkey. (www.turquazethemovie.com)
